Contacts<\/strong>\u00a0on CRM is designed to manage record of external entities attached to a Customer. It is also extended to be attached to other records such as Employees, Vendors and Leads. Take for example, you have a Customer with the name \u201cEmma John\u201d. You can create two Contacts, one as \u201cPersonal Assistant\u201d, and another as \u201cAccountant\u201d. However, it is also possible to link a Contact to multiple records. Same example, the \u201cPersonal Assistant\u201d Contact can be linked to an Employee as \u201cSpouse\u201d. This is the beauty of Profitaa Contacts.<\/p>\n

Create a Contact:<\/strong>\u00a0Click the \u201c*NEW\u201d to create a new Contact. When the Contact window opens, fill in the necessary fields and click the photo icon at the right side to update photo (you can do this later too). On the Category, \u201cProspective Client\u201d represents a Lead Contact, \u201cERP Record Contact\u201d represents contacts to be linked with other part of the system as explained earlier. While \u201cBusiness Partner\u201d represents your company partners\u00a0 (not vendors)\u00a0.\u00a0<\/strong>Click the\u00a0\u201cCreate!\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0button when you are done. Once created, it appears on the Contacts list, now lets link a contact.<\/p>\n

Link a Contact:<\/strong>\u00a0Open the newly created Contact, click on the Contact photo, it opens the Contact details window, then click the\u00a0\u22ee<\/strong>\u00a0ellipsis (three vertical dots), then click on \u201cLink With<\/strong>\u201c. Use the plus sign \u201c+\u201d to open up the linking pane. Select the type \u201cCustomer\u201d, \u201cVendor\u201d, \u201cEmployee\u201d, \u201cOthers\u201d. For each you select, you will have the chance to find a related record. For example, selecting \u201cCustomer<\/strong>\u201d will give you the chance to select from a list of all your customers (you can find) on the next field \u201cFind Record<\/strong>\u201c. Then enter the link type e.g \u201cPersonal Assistant\u201d and click \u201cSave<\/strong>\u201c. All other linked records are displayed on the table below that. You can unlink a record by using the \u201cx<\/strong>\u201d on the record row to remove it.<\/p>\n
