Managing various Assets; tangible and intangible, is easy and straight-forward with Profitaa. From acquisition (APA) to locations, management, depreciation /amortization (cost management), maintenance and recording of activities.
To get started, here are what you need to know:
1. Assets Classes: The Asset system is classified into: Investment, Property, Plant, Equipment, Fleet, Intellectual Property. Each of the classes have their unique Asset Types which is dynamic to you, that means, you can create your own Asset Types (e.g Cars, Lorries under Fleet).
2. Permissions: These Assets Classes are unique permissions that users have to have on their profile in order to have access to the Assets under the classes. Example, to make an Asset Manager have access to assets under the “Property” class, make sure the permission is added to the user (Admin->User Access->Permissions).
3. Account: Asset System has several relationships with the Account, in sending Acquisition invoice, Maintenance Invoices, Customer Invoice and others. You will need to have decided and setup accounts entities in Chart of Accounts for Asset Acquisition, Asset Depreciation Expense, Depreciation Accumulations, Asset Maintenance, Asset Revenue.
With these in place, we are set to commence the Assets System.
