The Asset Class system is classified into: Investment, Property, Plant, Equipment, Fleet, Intellectual Property. Each of the classes have their unique Asset Types which is dynamic to you, that means, you can create your own Asset Types (e.g Cars, Lorries under Fleet).

To create a new Asset Type, click ‘Asset Types’ from the ‘Configuration’ under the Asset menu.

1. The page list all your asset types configured. To add a new, click the “New” icon.
2. When the new window opens, enter the new Asset Type name, select a class from the classes and enter a description, then save.

And that is it, you have created a new Asset Type under a class. When you are adding Assets, this Asset Type will be available for selection.
