Profitaa can be used to sell a product (inventory items) or a service. So, whether you run a supermarket/retail store or just want to service your professional service such as consulting, repairs, development or other freelancing, Profitaa has you covered!
Here is how to create a new Transaction;

On the Transaction window, two manage tabs “Products” and “Custom” are important to understand. The Products tab is to “sell” an inventory item while the Custom tab is to add items in form of services e.g Consultancy, Freelancing or any other custom sales not listed as an inventory item. To add a Product to the cart, select the Product tab, find the product either by scanning the barcode, or manually by typing at least three letters of the product name and search or, use the Find option which allows finding either by Category, Algorithm or Latest Product. Either of the options, the products relating to your search will appear, you only need to tap (click) on the product, it will be added to your cart.
For Custom items, you only need to switch to the Custom tab, enter the item e.g. “Consultancy”, item as 1 (unless otherwise), then the amount, then press the + green button to add it to the cart. You can actually combine both Products items and Custom items on a transaction. For example, after selecting a Television Product from your inventory, your custom item could be “Installation Services” then the amount.
Currency: Your default currency is displayed along with other currencies you have activated. Yes, Profitaa allows you to make Transactions in multi-currencies which is converted to the base currency on the ledgers.
Customer: Every Transaction belongs to a Customer. Use the round icon on the window top to change the customer. It is on “Guest Customers” by default but you can switch to an existing customer or register a new customer right there, just click the round icon.

On the Cart window, there are options to increase quantities purchasing, sort the order, enter additional details such as description or if product has been assigned unique identifiers.
Discount and VAT options are also available for applications. A click on the big round cart button opens up the payment window.
In finalizing your transaction, it can be kept as Proforma, by clicking the Proforma button by the left or concluding the transaction as a valid sale by selecting the appropriate payment method, enter the amount customer is paying at the moment and hit the PAY button.
A new sale will be recorded and all related accounting entries will be effected which you can confirmed from the Journal Items. You new transaction can be found on the Transactions page and on the Customer account page. The payment received will add up as your Receivable for the day.
